A wonderful resource for planning activities for seniors is Golden Carers. At The Groves we love using their ideas as we spend time together. A recent activity we participated in was called 'Stories Out of a Hat.' Each resident brought a unique and meaningful item to share a story about. Some items they shared were a mother's Bible, a glass baby bottle, a photo of a cabbage patch doll, a teddy bear given by a late husband, a video of cherished dogs, a sweet stuffed animal, a wedding photo, a Scrabble piece necklace, or a story about growing up at Milton Hershey.
